Airfreight demand and rates have stabilised after fluctuations from the Lunar New Year and tariff uncertainties. According to WorldACD, air cargo demand was flat week-on-week as of March 9 but up 2% year-on-year. The average worldwide rate was $2.33 per kg, a slight increase from the previous week and last year. Tonnages from Asia Pacific saw a 5% week-on-week increase, returning to mid-January levels. However, volumes from regions like Central & South America, Europe, and North America declined.
