Hitachi Transport System will form a business alliance with Maersk. This is the first time that Hitachi Transport System has formed a partnership with a major overseas logistics company. The company will first provide 3PL services such as transportation and warehouse management to Maersk's customers in Japan, and plans to expand the collaboration globally in the future. In addition, Hitachi Transport System will combine its supply chain optimization service, SCDOS, with the blockchain-based logistics platform, Tradelens, which is being developed by Maersk and IBM, to help shippers optimize their supply chains.
